AN INTERNALLY CALIBRATED ELECTRON SPECTROMETER FOR ACCELERATOR ENERGY MONITORING.

Abstract

An internally calibrated electron spectrometer was developed for use in calibrating the AFCRL Dynamitron and Van de Graaf accelerators. The spectrometer utilizes a Bi207 source which emits internal conversion electrons of precisely known energies. The system can be attached to the accelerators easily and yields a resolution of better than 1 percent. (Author)
