S-BAND TELEMETRY ANTENNA STUDIES: NOSE-TIP ARRAY AND OTHER systems,

Abstract

Laboratory studies were made leading to the development of prototype S-band telemetry antenna designs for research rockets. The results of three laboratory studies are presented in this scientific report. These three studies investigated the feasibility of a nose-tip array, a parasitic array and a dielectric antenna. Of the three, the nose-tip array study gave the most feasible results as a prototype design. (Author)
