Abstract

The report describes in detail the techniques of cultivation of the peanut on the basis of the experience of agricultural pace-setters and scientific-research establishments. The book elucidates the economic significance, chemical composition, botanical characteristics and biological properties of the peanut. The selection and seed breeding of the peanut are described in adequate detail, along with a description of varietal zoning.
