ON SYSTEMS WITH UNKNOWN OR UNCERTAIN PARAMETERS,

Abstract

This paper considers the analysis and synthesis of several classes of systems containing uncertain or unknown parameters which may be modeled as random variables. Attention is restricted primarily to linear, time-invariant systems and to simple mean-squared error criteria. The analysis problem is straight-forward but computationally difficult. The synthesis problem is tractable only when the structure of the system containing the random parameters is well-specified. (Author)
