IMBEDDINGS OF SIMPLICIAL COMPLEXES.

Abstract

A family of n-dimensional simplicial complexes which are not topologically imbeddable in Euclidean (2d)-space E superscript 2d is constructed. It contains as extremal cases the previously known examples of such complexes. Generalizing the well known facts concerning the Kuratowski graphs, it is shown that each member of the family constructed in minimal in the sense that every proper subcomplex is even geometrically imbeddable in E superscript 2d.
