ON THE PROBLEM OF CAVITATIONAL PHENOMENA IN HYDRAULIC SERVOMECHANISMS,

Abstract

V. A. Khokhlov (Avtomatika i telemekhanika, 18, No 9, 1957) investigated the stability of hydraulic executor mechanisms containing strong feedback with an inertial load acting on the piston. Using the usual assumptions, Khokhlov presented an approximate derivation of the formula for critical (from the cavitation viewpoint) mass determination for a hydraulic mechanism. The present paper offers an exact derivation of the same formula. (Author)
