COMPLEX OF RECONNAISSANCE-CONSTRUCTION WORK IN TRIANGULATION (KOMPLEKS REKOGNOSTSIROVOCHNO-STROITELNYKH RABOT V TRIANGULYATSII),
Abstract
The paper is a study of the problem of raising the quality of reconnaissance. The low quality of reconnaissance is explained by a shortage of qualified personnel and the non-existance of quick and reliable methods of performance. The recommended instrumental and measurement methods are not very effective and are difficult to execute. It is suggested that the reconnaissance be directly preceded by the compiling of a detailed work plan. Charts, air photos, mosaics and other materials should be used in the planning. The entire existing geodetic net must be re-examined. As the reconnoiterer goes out in the field with his crew, the technical production documentation for complete reconnaissance and construction takes the form of file cards. At the end of field work, the cards are arranged and collected from field teams and serve as the basis for estimating fulfillment of the plan and for computing wages. (Author)
