METHOD OF MAKING ROTORS OF MIXED-FLOW COMPRESSORS (SPOSOB IZGOTOVLENIYA ROTOROV DIAGONALNYKH KOMPRESSOROV),

Abstract

The report describes a method of making compressor rotors for low-power gas turbine units by casting. In this process the metal is poured into a special mold with pre-positioned press-forged blades. The mold is a metal shell with openings for fitting the blades and it becomes a part of the rotor. To improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the blade passages, the blade roots are split and bent outward and the corners between the blade and the mold shell are rounded off by welding. (Author)
