APPLICATION OF COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY FOR CONTROL IN INDUSTRY AND IN TRANSPORT,

Abstract

This is the report of Moscow meeting of the Department of Mechanics and Control Processes of the USSR and the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Equipment Construction on the application of computer technology to the automatization of industry and transportation. Problems are principally concerned with the introduction of automatized systems constructed on the basis of computer technology within the sphere of material production to assure the output of the maximum quantity of industrial products and to increase the effectiveness of transportation including sea transportation as well as railroad transportation. Significant economical results are anticipated through the utilization of telemechanical means of communication in combination with the processing of telemechanical systems of the selection and processing of data.
