IMPLEMENTATION OF LIE GROUP TRANSFORMS OF SPATIAL DATA ON PARALLEL LOGIC ARRAYS.

Abstract

Much data currently being considered for automatic processing is spatial in nature, and some of the noise to which this data is subject is due to smooth geometric distortions such as rotation which can be represented as Lie Group transforms. This report considers ways in which these transforms can be implemented on two-dimensional parallel logic arrays and also describes some ways of taking advantage of the Lie algebra structure of the transformation generators.
