UNCERTAINTY, INFORMATION SEARCH AND DECISION MAKING.

Abstract

The research has examined several independent and dependent variables. The dependent variables selected for attention were the amount of information acquisition and information processing. The independent variables focused upon were the cost of information, time pressure, level of aspiration, degree of initial uncertainty, rate of uncertainty reduction, and schedules of reinforcement. In, addition, the prominence of individual differences in information acquisition stimulated some of search behavior. Twelve papers have been published in scientific journals on this research.
