RICHARDSON CRITICAL NUMBER (O KRITICHESKOM CHISLE RICHARDSONA),

Abstract

The Richardson number was studied in the range O-Ricr (critical) in a stably stratified surface boundary layer of the atmosphere. This work served to broaden earlier studies and included an analysis of accumulated data. The vertical gradients of the averages of the wind speed (u), temperature (T), and specific humidity of the air (Q) at a height z above the earth were studied. (Author)
