A REVIEW OF THE RESULTS OF AN INVESTIGATION OF THE PARAMETERS OF EARTH'S GRAVITATIONAL FIELD BASED ON SATELLITE TRACKING DATA,

Abstract

Optical and radiotechnical satellite tracking data allowed the elaboration of a new method for the investigation of the gravitational field of the Earth. Results which considerably enlarge our knowledge on the structure of the Earth's gravitational field are given in the tables. However, only a combination of the method based on satellite tracking data together with the completion of the world gravitational survey on the Earth surface can result in the solution of the problem essential for scientific and practical purposes.
