DETERMINATION OF ECONOMIC EFFECTIVENESS EXPLOSIVE FORMING OF HULL STRUCTURES (OPREDELENIE EKONOMICHESKOI EFFEKTIVNOSTI SHTAMPOVKI KORPUSNYKH KONSTRUKTSII VZRYVOM),

Abstract

An analysis has been made of the costs of conventional and explosive forming of large ship hull structures and parts. Comparison of the obtained data showed that the main forming time in explosive forming is several tens of times shorter than in conventional forming. Forming of individual parts with subsequent fitting, assembly and straightening can be substituted by the assembly and welding of a single large structure and by forming it into a finished component with a minimum of time and waste of material.
