APPLICATIONS OF THE FOUNTAIN EFFECT IN SUPERFLUID HELIUM,

Abstract

The fountain pressure pump appears to offer a simple and efficient way to provide cooling a distance from a central refrigerator as well as a means for transfer of liquid helium below the lambda point. Experiments are in progress to demonstrate the usefulness of the fountain pressure pump in large scale systems. (Author)
