SHIPBOARD RADAR.

Abstract

The navigational radar 'Stvor' is designed for installation on ships of the shipping fleet and also on marine and river boats of low and medium tonnage. A 'Stvor' station enables ships to navigate in zero visibility -- in fog, at night, etc. Because of its small blind zone and high angular resolution, 'Stvor' ensures safe sailing in canals, under irregular icing conditions, and within port areas. The value of 'Stvor' lies in the fact that it is light-weight, small, operationally reliable, and easily serviced. Information covering components, principle of action, shipboard arrangement, and basic data of the radar are included. (Author)
