EXPLORATORY DEVELOPMENT AND ANALYTICAL SUPPORT OF EXPERIMENTAL MATERIALS. PART II.

Abstract

Elucidation of the structure of various transition metal complexes of pyridine-N-oxide through the use of far-infrared spectroscopy was investigated. New applications and techniques in the field of laser Raman spectroscopy are reported along with various applications of high resolution mass spectroscopy to determine the molecular formula of unknown fluorinated compounds. The application of computer techniques to the analysis of high resolution mass spectral data is discussed in some detail. Purification of 1,1'-diiodoferrocene by gas chromatography is described; and other supporting activities and services, including electron microscopy, polymer viscosities and high resolution NMR, are reported.
