A LOW TEMPERATURE RAMAN CELL FOR USE WITH THE CARY MODEL 81 LASER INSTRUMENT.

Abstract

A simple low temperature cell for the measurement of Raman spectra of solids and condensed vapors down to -135C is described. The cell is designed for use with a Cary 81 Raman spectrometer using laser excitation. Spectra of diphosphine and phosphorus pentachloride are shown to illustrate the performance of the cell.
