PRELIMINARY DATA ELEMENTS FOR NEW SYSTEMS PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS DATA SYSTEM (NSPRDS).

Abstract

A new systems personnel requirements data system (NSPRDS), formerly called personnel requirements information system methodology (PRISM), is being developed for the orderly generation, maintenance, updating, and application of detailed task analysis information throughout the development cycle of Navy weapon and support systems. The purpose of this report is to document the developmental status of preliminary task data elements as specific components of the standardized task structure. The data elements identified in the initial task format were reviewed and refined. A preliminary work verb taxonomy was constructed by using a paired comparison technique to establish relationships between terms. Pairs of terms were rated for direct relationships and relative levels of abstraction. The ratings were processed by computer to establish the taxonomic structure. (Author)
