THE ROLE OF AUTOANTIGENS AND AUTOANTIBODIES IN THE PATHOGENESIS OF INTERNAL DISEASES

Abstract

The results achieved in the therapy of diseases, in the pathogenesis of which the autoagressors play an appropriate role are still unsatisfactory. Even one of the best measures against sensitization of the body--ACTH--sometimes can produce drug-induced disease itself. Only the subsequent study of the causes leading to the formation of autoantigens and autoantibodies can improve the therapy and prophylaxis of a number of serious diseases.
