ON BEST APPROXIMATION BY INTERPOLATING POLYNOMIALS.

Abstract

The problem of approximating a continuous function (with respect to a generalized weight function) by polynomials interpolating prescribed data is considered. Existence, uniqueness, and a computational algorithm are obtained. (Author)
