MULTIPLIERS OF AN ANNIHILATOR ALGEBRA.
Abstract
Let A be a semi-simple annihilator Banach algebra, and E be the space of all minimal closed two-sided ideals in A. Denote by M(A) the set of all bounded linear operators T satisfying (Tx)y = x(Ty) for all x, y epsilon A. The main result proved in this note is the following theorem: There exists a norm-decreasing isomorphism of M(A) onto C superscript infinity symbol (E), the space of all bounded continuous complex functions on E.
