THE EFFECTS OF BROWN BOARD RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE LMI SYSTEM.

Abstract

The design of any Logistic Management Information System must be based on the current organization, procedures, and policies of the agency for which the system is designed, if the system is to be implemented when completed. It is important, however, that plans and programs which result in future changes in organizations, policies and procedures by analyzed and considered in the system design and implementation planning. Such an analysis provides the basis for any adaptation required to meet the changing conditions under which it will operate in the future. The purpose of the report is to: (a) Briefly describe the Department of Army Inquiry on the Army Logistics System (Brown Board Studies). (b) Identify the impact the implementation of Brown Board Study actions will have on the USAREUR Logistic Management Information System and on specific Logistic Management Indicators. (Author)
