DETERMINATION OF PARTICLE SIZE AND CONCENTRATION FROM PHOTOMETER AND SECCHI DISC MEASUREMENTS.

Abstract

The mathematical model developed in a previous report is extended to allow for direct calculation of particle size and concentration from optical data. The optical parameters utilized are such that black and white Secchi Discs coupled with a submarine filter photometer are the only instruments required to determine equivalent optical radii and particle concentration values.
