VISTAS IN SCIENCE

Abstract

This volume is a collection of articles based upon lectures presented at the Thirteenth Science Seminar of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, held at Albuquerque, New Mexico, in June 1968. This book is not a verbatim transcript of the lectures which were presented. Instead, its chapters, written after the conclusion of the seminar by the people who appeared on the program, are, in the main, digests of what was discussed in the lectures and in the discussion periods. They cover 'the microwave sky,' glass technology, aerodynamic shapes, arc jets, biological sensors, and fluorine chemistry.
