TEMPERATURE DEPENDENT STUDY OF THE DIELECTRIC DISPERSION OF A VARIETY OF INORGANIC SOLIDS.

Abstract

A temperature-dependent study of the vibrations of crystal lattices was undertaken using infrared and Raman techniques. The frequencies of the normal modes of lattice vibration so determined give results related to the properties of the materials and assist in deduction of interatomic force laws and anharmonic effects.
