THE REDUCTION OF MERIDIAN OBSERVATIONS INCLUDING THE RESULTS FROM OBSERVATIONS OF THE STARS UNDER DETERMINATION (ORRABOTKA MERIDIANNYKH NABLYUDENII S PRIVLECHENIEM REZULTATOV NABLYUDENII OPREDELYAEMYKH ZVEZD),

Abstract

The question of an increase in the accuracy of the results of meridian determinations of stellar coordinates is discussed with the aid of a reduction in two approximations of the data obtained. The possibility of applying the provisional mean coordinates of the stars under determination toward this end is demonstrated. The conditions are formulated which, mean satisfied, guarantee the maximum effectiveness of the reduction of the observational data according to the method discussed. (Author)
