OPTICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND PARAMETERS OF A FIELD OF LIGHT IN LAKE WATER,

Abstract

An experimental investigation was made of optical characteristics of lake water such as attenuation and absorption indices and the probability of survival of a light quantum. The measurement methods and appratus used are described. Diffusion of a collimated beam of light in lake water was studied and the properties of the scattered radiation background determined.
