SIGHTING ERRORS IN 2ND-ORDER TRIANGULATION (OSHIBKI VISIROVANIYA V TRIANGULYATSII 2 KLASSA),

Abstract

The main errors during the measurement of angles in the second order triangulation are those arising because of external surroundings and instrumental and personal errors. The standard error of sighting, caused by the error in matching the aiming instrument with the sighting target, depends on the error resulting from the shortcomings of observer's eye and from the deficiencies of the telescope as well as on the error in the performance of the theodolite's alidade.
