INTERPERSONAL VERBS AND INTERPERSONAL BEHAVIOR

Abstract

The report provides a summary of the research to date on the semantics of interpersonal verbs and the applications of the information obtained to cross-cultural studies of interpersonal norms and behaviors. A theory of interpersonal perception and behavior in relation to the meanings of interpersonal verbs in the language is presented.
