SELECTION OF AN EFFECTIVE SYSTEM OF DEPENDENT ATTRIBUTES,

Abstract

The report concerns a problem in the recognition of k patterns. Selection G, consisting of N sub 1 objects for the first pattern, N sub 2 objects for the second pattern, etc., is assigned for the training function. Each object of selection G is characterized by the realization of vector x = (x sub 1, ..., x sub n) from the initial criteria system. Known methods of solving the cited problem are reviewed and a study is made of an heuristic program of random search with adaptation, employing the Monte Carlo method. The approach is illustrated in terms of interpretation of ballistocardiograms. (Author)
