COMPUTATION OF THE BOUNDARY-LAYER FLOW ON THE ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE WALL OF A FLAT CHANNEL,

Abstract

Magnetohydrodynamic boundary-layer-flow equations, based on the numerical calculation methods used for the boundary layer of a nonconducting fluid, are analyzed by separating the problems of a flow inside the flow center and of a flow within the boundary layer. The problem of finding the characteristics inside a flowing gas center is reduced to the solution of a differential equation with the boundary conditions for subsonic- and supersonic-flow speeds. For both, the numerical evaluations of flow characteristics were used for solving the equations of the boundary layer. (Author)
