SPECIFIC FEATURES IN MEASURING HEAT CONDUCTIVITY COEFFICIENTS OF MULTILAYER INSULATIONS,

Abstract

The report describes a method and the instrument used to measure the heat conductivity coefficients of multilayer insulations. The plane instrument described measures the heat flow through the insulation specimen by means of two methods simultaneously: according to the quantity of liquid vaporized and the capacity of the heater. Comparison with a cylindrical instrument shows that the cylindrical instrument is highly accurate, but it cannot measure the insulation heat conductivity coefficient at various loads. (Author)
