ON POLARIZED LUMINESCENCE OF COLORED CRYSTALS,

Abstract

Optical transitions of F sub 2 and F+ sub 2 centers into different excited states are discussed. It was shown that at least two absorption bands of light of more or less equal intensity correspond to each of these centers. A quantum-mechanical interpretation is given of the experimentally observed azimuth dependence of the degree of polarization of luminescence in the case of excitation by polarized light from the region of absorption of the color centers.
