SEVEN PROJECTS IN STELLAR AND UPPER ATMOSPHERIC PHYSICS.

Abstract

Computer programs written for seven projects are analyzed. These include: Determination of star temperatures using shifts in titanium lines; Determination of an optimum mathematical filter to minimize the discrepancy between a given signal and an ideal signal the power spectrum of which is known; Correlation of weather information from a multistation experiment; Auroral temperatures computed using spectral lines observed in Fabry-Perot interferometers; Magnetic tape regeneration technique; Studies in the time variance of ionospheric power distributions through the analysis of ionospheric RF Band reflectivity patterns; Studies in ionospheric drift.
