SOME INFORMATION ON SOVIET ELECTRONIC COMPUTERS,

Abstract

This article gives a description of the capabilities of many Soviet electronic computers. (1) The UM-1NKH small control computer is designed for use in chemical, oil refining and metallurgical industries; (2) the TsUM-1 electronic digital control computer is designed to monitor and control production processes; (3) the Minsk-22 system is designed to solve both scientific-technical problems, as well as, economic-planning problems; and (4) the Promin electronic digital computer is designed for the automation of engineering and scientific calculations.
