RAMAN SPECTRA OF MOLTEN MANGANESE DICHLORIDE THALLIUM TRICHLORIDE, AND TIN DIBROMIDE,

Abstract

This paper presents Raman spectra that have been obtained from three ionic melts. The extent of coordination of Mn(+2) in the MnCl2.KCl eutectic and Tl(+3) in chloride melts is examined by means of their Raman spectra. In addition, the species present in fused SnBr2 was also studied. (Author)
