ELECTRONIC STRUCTURE OF METALS.

Abstract

During the approximate 4-1/2 years of this AFOSR Grant, research activities have been largely confined to the study of conduction electron behavior in metals. These studies included the investigation of effective masses of electrons in cyclotron resonance, some new cyclotron resonance phenomena, the first studies of electron relaxation times by means of cyclotron resonance, the design of an improved eddy current method for measuring the resistivity of metal specimens, and some measurements of flux jumping in type 2 superconductors.
