CHEMICAL MIXTURES IN SUBMILLIMETER LASERS.

Abstract

A study is made on the operating characteristics of the HCN laser when various chemicals are added to the basic fuel CH3CN. Laboratory tests are reported in which NH4OH and CO2 are added in a controlled manner and show improvements in total output power and/or lower threshold currents for oscillation. (Author)
