SOVIET NATIONAL INCOME, 1964-1966, IN ESTABLISHED PRICES,

Abstract

The document presents income estimates based on Soviet data but following Western accounting procedures. The main tables cover household incomes and outlays, the gross-national-product account, and the distribution of GNP by use. Total GNP rose from 232 billion rubles in 1964 to 270 billion in 1966. The distribution of GNP is discussed in relation to stability on both the income and outlay sides of the accounts. Slight declines in the shares of fixed capital investment and the explicit budget allocation to defense are also considered.
