MARCH WEATHER ALONG THE 7 MARCH 1970 ECLIPSE PATH FROM NANTUCKET TO NEWFOUNDLAND.

Abstract

The report describes weather conditions in March over the 7 March 1970 eclipse path from Nantucket to Newfoundland. Although the picture presented appears rather unfavorable for solar eclipse research activity, there are days in March with sunshine and relatively cloud free skies. However, the chances are about 2 to 1 against sunshine conditions. (Author)
