TECHNICAL DATA MANAGEMENT SYMPOSIUM HELD AT WASHINGTON, DC, SEPTEMBER 12-14, 1967, ON BRIDGING THE CRITERIA GAP OPERATIONAL STATIONS BOOK (OSB)

Abstract

The 'Operational Stations Book' or for short OSB is a tool which provides the communication media between 'designer' and 'operator'. The OSB is written in a language understandable by the end-user and also follows a format which fulfills the operator's documentation requirements. Since the make up of an OSB is provided for in a specification, it is the intent to present mainly the philosophy and background for the OSB. The Operational Stations Book also assists in developing certain operational documentation which must be eventually compiled by the operating forces.
