Abstract

The problem of shipboard maintenance management and its proposed solution, PMS, is described briefly. The design criteria and selected hardware and software are then presented as related to solving the problem of shipboard maintenance management. The body of the paper describes the contents of the PMS, the manner in which PMS is developed, reviewed and updated, the documentation control methodology (advantages and limitations) and the interfaces and benefits to other programs.
