THE TENTH RAND COMPUTING SYMPOSIUM

Abstract

The Tenth Annual RAND Computer Symposium held in Santa Monica, 13 November 1967, dealt with the single topic, 'The Teaching of Computing.' During the seven-hour session, the attendees discussed primarily the people to whom computing should be taught; the grade level at which computer education should begin; the training of programmers and those who will teach computing; and the advice that should be given to high schools, junior colleges, and trade schools to help them initiate computer education programs.
