ORGANOMETALLIC CHEMISTRY.

Abstract

This report summarises studies in three main areas: (1) Fluorocarbon complexes of transition metals; (2) metal carbonyl complexes of the transition metals of the 4d and 5d series; (3) organoderivatives of silicon and tin. A summary and a bibliography of the 25 publications produced during the investigation forms the body of the Report. Among the main discoveries were new synthesis of rhodium and iridium carbonyls formation of fluorocarbon-metal complexes by oxidative-addition of d8 or d10 complexes, and the formation of new siloxanes from reactions between perfluoroketones and silthianes.
