COMPUTER FOR THE DETERMINATION OF OPTIMUM ENERGY SYSTEM CONDITIONS,

Abstract

A specialized computer consisting of eight main simulating, measuring, search and computing units has been developed at Chelyabinsk Polytechnical Institute. Its purpose is different in that the savings to be gained indirectly in industry by maintaining continuity of supply without voltage deviations are considered to be more important than minimizing the fuel consumption in power stations. With automatic tap-changing of transformers it is proposed to solve this problem first and so solve the load-flow problem, the 'computer' in question being intended for both tasks.
