DEVICE FOR DYNAMIC TESTING OF METALS AND ALLOYS IN LIMITED HEAT CARRIERS AT HIGH PRESSURES AND TEMPERATURES

Abstract

The article gives details of a unit permitting corrosion tests of metals and alloys in organic heat transfer media at temperatures up to 400-450C, pressures up to 50 atm, and calculated velocities from 1.4 to 5.7 meters/sec. The unit has been used successfully under the following experimental CONDITIONS: temperature 320C; pressure 8 atm; organic heat transfer medium-- monoisopropyldiphenyl with 0.1% water; duration of operation--500 hours.
