EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE PASSAGE OF LIGHT PULSES THROUGH A RESONANT MEDIUM,

Abstract

The work covers experimental research on the energy characteristics of light pulses passing through a resonant medium (a traveling wave amplifier). The dependence of the amplification (attenuation) factor on the input-pulse energy per unit surface, the population of the working levels of the medium, and the length of the sample is discussed. Results obtained are compared with theoretical calculations made previously. (Author)
