DETECTION OF OXYGENATED ORGANIC COMPOUNDS IN ENAMEL SOLVENTS AND THINNERS.

Abstract

A simple, rapid test is described for detecting ketones, esters, alcohols, etc., in paint thinners and solvents at concentrations as low as 1%, using thin layer chromatography. The procedure will be useful in facilitating subsequent quantitative analysis required by air pollution abatement regulations. (Author)
