AUTOMATIC STATIONS ON PILE FOUNDATIONS,

Abstract

A station for observing hydrological and meteorological conditions at water depths not exceeding 15 m is described. The station consists of hydrometeorological devices, a floating platform, and 4 columns with pontoon-type shoes. The ready-to-work station is towed to a designated point where the columns are lowered to the bottom and then the floating platform is raised, using a winch to the surface. Several empty compartments in the platform are then filled in with water, as a ballast. A stable antenna for the transmission of ratio waves may be installed on the platform. (Author)
